The VFL ducks won't make a splash in the Soque River this year but they will make a splash in someone's pocketbook with prizes of $1000, $500, and $250 dollars. Due to Covid-19, a drawing will be held this year instead of a river race. The drawing will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 at 1:30 at the City of Clarkesville gazebo, following judging for the Dec A Duck contest. Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00. They may be purchased online at www.vflhabersham.com, at the Clarkesville and Cornelia Libraries, and at the Clarkesville businesses: A to Zinc Health Store and Smoothie Bar, Sweet ReLeaf, Elizabeth & Co., and at the Soque River Watershed Association (SRWA) office.
Starting in September, Shelby's Yin classes will move to the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 3 to 4 PM. Join her to relax and rejuvenate for the week ahead. Each class will feature gentle stretching, quiet reflection, and deep relaxation.
